I-MediSTAR’s first event was organized in April 2012 in association with Indian Medical Students’ Association at Safdarjung Hospital and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital. This event was the inaugural event of Indian Medical Students’ Association’s Delhi Chapter. The organisers have served this organisation in various capacities. This event comprised of two skill based workshops – The Neonatal Resuscitation Program workshop and the Basic Research Methodologies workshop conducted at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) and a full day Medical Literature Search workshop at University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), New Delhi.
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program workshop was carried out under the mentorship of Prof. H.C. Chellani, a world-renowned Neonatologist and the Basic Research Methodologies workshop was conducted by Prof. R.M. Pandey, the Head of Biostatistics Department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
